Where digital innovation began
In 2017, Metropolis:Lab was founded in Barcelona as the first digital innovation lab of SEAT, marking the starting point of its digital transformation and embedding technology and experimentation at the heart of the organization.
2019

Defining a clear strategic identity
In 2019, Metropolis:Lab evolved into SEAT CODE, clarifying its role as the SEAT's digital machine and strengthening its strategic focus on building in-house digital capabilities.
2020

Creating a home for talent and collaboration
In 2020, SEAT CODE opened its Les Rambles offices in Barcelona, creating a central hub for tech talent, while Giravolta went live, showcasing the team’s ability to deliver real digital solutions.
2023
·
Opening a new chapter of growth
In 2023, the organization became the Digital Hub for SEAT and CUPRA, developing impactful digital products while expanding capabilities across the entire lifecycle—from design to operations—and scaling the team to 300 people.
